Question:
What DVI cable do I need for Hanns.G monitors?
Answer:
There are various types of DVI standards for different applications. DVI-I cables support digital and analog signals. For monitors mostly DVI-D cables are applicable. You can differentiate DVI-I from DVI-D by looking at the four little pins around the slot. If they are present it is DVI-I and if not it is DVI-D.
DVI-D is the right cable for our monitors.
Question:
The sound from the speakers is weak. What can I do?
Answer:
The built in speakers are not intended to replace a full-range sound system. However, adjusting the volume of the Operating System and/or application on your computer and in the OSD of the monitor should provide adequate sound for day to day use.
Question:
There is no picture, no LED, or the picture is poor.
Answer:
Use the following trouble shooting steps:
‧Check that the power cable is properly connected.
‧Check that the DVI or VGA is securely connected at both the PC and the monitor.
‧Perform a factory reset in the monitor OSD (consult your manual for instructions).
‧Ensure the PC is not in power save mode as indicted by an amber LED.
‧Set the resolution in the graphics board driver to the recommended resolution for your
monitor (see table below).
Consult your Operating System manual for specific instructions.

Question:
Why is my widescreen unit blurry, has no signal and/or is stretched?
Answer:
Some (mostly older) VGA-boards do not support the WIDE-screen resolutions. LCD monitors can only show a good picture performance when operated in their native resolution. Please update the VGA-drivers and contact the VGA-board manufacturer to determine whether the resolution is supported or not.
